Imran provides business and personal tax advice in particular for high net worth individuals and he has a sub-specialism in acting for consultant surgeons. He is also a business mentor focussed on the creation of business plans for growing businesses.
He has sector experience in medicine, manufacturing, agriculture, procurement, retail and services, estate agency and biotech.
He became a partner in 2007 and completed the Business Growth Programme at Cranfield University in 2011.
Imran graduated from Edinburgh University in 1998 and was trained as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) at PricewaterhouseCoopers working within Audit, Business Recovery Services and Transaction Services.
Simon works closely with owner-managers looking at ways of minimising tax and dealing with complex tax scenarios from both a business and a personal perspective. He also has extensive experience of Corporate Tax, Research and Development Tax Credits, EIS and SEIS and personal foreign tax matters.
He has sector experience in publishing, retail, IT, consultants, travel, biotech, agriculture and property.
He became a partner in 2007 and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Simon graduated from Leeds University in 1998. He trained at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW). He worked within audit and extensively with Business Recovery Services and completed his Joint Insolvency Examination Board Exams.
Susan main area of focus is in the preparation of corporate accounts and taxation and undertaking company secretarial work. Her area of specialism is therefore statutory corporate compliance.
She also has in depth experience of bookkeeping, accounts preparation and business tax for non-corporate businesses and has particular sector experience in landlord and residents associations, estate agency, contractors, consultants, manufacturing, retail and publishing.
Susan qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1992 having gained experience of bookkeeping, accounts preparation and business tax during the course of her training. She joined Tayabali & White in 1993.
Tansy has wide experience in undertaking and completing corporate audits and she also has an excellent working knowledge of financial reporting requirements. Her work often requires a good understanding of non-standard financial statements, such as consolidations. In addition to audit work Tansy also prepares financial statements for limited companies and non-corporate entities. She also assists with bookkeeping and VAT returns in order to help clients maintain strong accounting records.
In addition to corporate audits she has experience of undertaking work that must be signed off by an auditor such as documents for the Charities Commission or grant applications.
Tansy has sector experience in manufacturing, consultancy, the arts, biotech and retail.
Tansy joined Tayabali & White in 2008 having previously qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1999.
Katie joined Tayabali & White in 2013 and undertakes a mixture of corporate and non-corporate work. In particular Katie is a problem-solver who looks for practical solutions to deal with accounting issues faced by our clients.
She is XERO certified and helps businesses to set up on XERO. She also provides training and ongoing support to clients with their bookkeeping as well as preparing year end accounts and tax returns.
Katie qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in 2009. Having qualified with a firm of accountants she then gained experience within industry working within the finance department of a national retail outlet.
Chris has extensive experience in all day to day areas of accountancy in particular personal tax, VAT and payroll. He prepares accounts and tax returns for limited companies, partnership and sole traders as well as personal tax returns for private clients. Chris is particularly strong at problem solving and applying lateral thinking to an issue. This may range from the creation of a reconciliation to prove a complex number to resolving a technical tax issue.
He also has solid practical experience in dealing with payroll issues, problems with HM Revenue & Customs and incomplete records and has broad sector knowledge covering medicine, manufacturing, agriculture, publishing, retail, contractors, mechanics and private clients.
Chris gained his initial experience at another firm of accountants and joined Tayabali & White in 1994.
Shane joined us at the beginning of 2017 to provide bespoke tax advice to our clients. He has extensive knowledge of Personal Tax, Corporation Tax and VAT as well as extensive experience of Property Taxes, Capital Gains and Inheritance Tax.
He has worked in tax since 1993, and enjoys the challenges and intricacies of our ever-complicated tax system. Shane works alongside Imran, Simon and the rest of our team to ensure that our clients are given the best tax advice possible.
John provides our bookkeeping and management accountant offering to certain clients. Using a methodical approach he prepares the books and records for many businesses reducing the time and effort required by the business owners for maintaining their records and ensuring that the year-end procedure is completed in a timely fashion.
John is XERO certified but has a good working knowledge of the main accounting software programmes, particularly SAGE, QuickBooks and Kashflow.
John served in the army (Grenadier Guards) before working within finance for a major global chemicals company. He gained his AAT qualification in 1981 and completed his Business Diploma in 1995.
Bethany joined Tayabali & White in 2015 and she specifically provides payroll and bookkeeping support. Using our dedicated software, QTAC, she provides payroll services as part of a bigger package to certain of our clients.
She is also XERO certified and can provide training and advice to our clients on the use of this software.
Bethany trained at Ernst & Young and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) in 2011. She worked within Audit and Transaction Services before moving into industry
Wendy ensures that things work and operate seamlessly at our office and helps with client appointments. She also assists with client communication and our fee protection service.
She looks for opportunities to improve our practice and has assisted the firm with the introduction of paperless software as well managing our filing and archive process.
Wendy has worked in a variety of administrative and organisational roles within different industries. She joined Tayabali & White in 2011 and has systemised many of our procedures.
Tracey joined Tayabali & White in January 2018. Prior to joining she worked at a mid-sized accountancy firm for ten years where she developed vast experience in dealing with administrative side of an accountancy practice. In particular she has worked in the small business and tax departments and is very aware of what processes and systems are required for a modern accountancy practice to run effectively.
Tracey assists the whole team with the running of the office as well as maintaining clients records and files and non-technical compliance procedures.
